Why is my throat hurting?

I typically handle various workouts well, whether it’s cardio, HIIT, weight training, or low-impact exercises. However, occasionally when the effort is intense, I experience throat pain for a short period. Sometimes this even happens while I’m running outside. I’m curious about the cause of this.

It’s certainly not normal, so I recommend consulting a medical professional.

I have “exercise-induced asthma,” which causes my airways to constrict slightly during high-intensity exercise, especially in cold conditions. I now use an inhaler before engaging in high-intensity cardio.

I don’t expect a detailed medical explanation, but am I the only one experiencing this? Has anyone else had this issue?

I’ve experienced this too! I thought it might be due to breathing in cold air, and my dad mentioned he uses a face mask while running to avoid it. So, it’s definitely not just you, but maybe we should all consider seeing a medical professional
