Best Adjustable Dumbbells?

Just looking for a set of adjustable dumbbells. Looking to obviously not spend a ton, but I keep going back to the bowflex pair for $400+.

Just wanted to see if anyone here had them or another brand that they would recommend. I only really need 5/10 to 50ish pounds, but would gladly go up to around 90 if there are any out there that are worth it.

Hello, can you share which set you ended up getting? Is it worth getting one of the expensive ones versus something like this?

How do you get to 90lbs?

Power block. I have had them for a few months now. After research they seem to be the most durable. I was worried about the shape, but it took no getting used to. I love them

Edit: the ones I got are the elite and were $300 and go from 10-50lb in increments of 2.5. You can purchase additional pieces to go up to 90lb as well

@Hayden
I’ve had a pair of the original power blocks for no joke 20+ years, inherited from my dad. Still use them.

@Hayden
The only thing I don’t ‘love’ about my power blocks are exercises like goblet squats and things where you need to hold the dumbbell not in the handle.

I have the Bowflex that go up to 52 1/2. They are perfect for the price. Not regrets.

I’ll add sometimes you can catch them on sale. I think I paid like $330.

I took the risk of buying a knockoff brand and the quality was very good. Around 220usd. Would recommend!

@Sky
I had a pair of knock off ones that fell apart during a workout. Broken toe. 1/10 would not recommend. I got a pair of bowflex during 2020 for $360 so I imagine you could get them cheaper now.

Mine collect dust. I’ll sell em $250 if you’re in SoCal and can pick up or pay for shipping.

Not even a single letter?

We have a set of the Bowflex ones and they are crap. So many of the plastic spacers or whatever have busted/cracked which makes using certain plates impossible.

So we are in the same boat… looking for something more sturdy

I got the Nuobells. People make a big deal about them not being durable but I also don’t drop my dumbbells anyways, been over a year. They work for me.

I really liked the looks of the Ironmasters too, but didn’t get that. Powerblocks are sturdy but the design just bothers me personally.

@Page
Saw a reviewer say eventually they will. My guess is like 4-8 years down the line vs iron masters that will last a lifetime.

I’m conflicted between the two since I loveeee the blue of the NUOBELL. Let me know they are

@Emory
Still using the Nuobells frequently. Still like them a lot. Would also really like the Ironmasters…maybe if my nuobells DO end up breaking and I live in a more permanent place (the small footprint of these nuobells is so convenient). Speaking of which I have seen the Snode adjustables can be bought in a set with an adjustable weight bench that you store the dumbells in. Looks pretty sweet.
