Best Adjustable Dumbbells?

Power block by far is the best in my opinion

Hey there! I totally get you - investing in solid, reliable home exercise equipment without breaking the bank can be a tricky balance. While Bowflex is certainly reputable, I’d suggest checking out the DMoose 90lb Adjustable Dumbbell Set. It’s a set of adjustable dumbbells that not only gives you the range of 5-90lbs you mentioned but also ensures smooth weight transitions. What makes it stand out from others is its compact design and durability. A bonus - it’s slightly easier on the wallet than some other brands while providing top-notch quality! Whichever route you decide to go, enjoy those gains! :muscle::blush:

For the price I’m happy with my Weiders

I’ve had the Powerblock 125lbs polyurethane model (think it’s discontinued, so whatever the current version is) for over a decade and I love them. The 2.5-2.5-5 lbs increment of weight works well enough.

It’s 100% the Rogue loadables. There is no question here. They are competition-grade barbells shrunk to a dumbbell size. Durable as fuck, great knurl, balanced. Best money can buy.

The rouge ones are just resale power blocks… no?

Another +1 for the Powerblock. I have the elite exp with both expansions to 90 lbs and love them. I was hesitant of the shape, but tried them at my buddy’s gym. They are a great purchase, and feel incredibly stable during lifting motions.

@Sage
Lot of people seem to love them. May be the route I end up going. The shape is the only deterrent but everyone seems to say they love the way they feel.

If you can find a set of used MX55’s, you’ll probably get in that $400 range. I bought mine new at Costco for $700 in 2018 and they are still going strong.

I got the MX85’s and they are great. A little bulky but they still feel like a normal dumbbell.

Hit Facebook marketplace and find a pair there. As a 6’5” dude my power blocks are kind of awkward around my knuckles. I seem to always smack my hands after putting them down.

I’ve had the Powerblock classic 50s, adjustable from 10 to 50 pounds in 5-pound increments, for about 15 years. They still work perfect.

I’ve looked into many other ones over the years, but nothing has intrigued me enough to switch.

Powerblock and Bowflex seem to be the most popular, but here are some more: Best Adjustable Dumbbells for the Price (2024) - Healthy Dad Project
