What accessories do you recommend for exercises like flies, rows, shoulder presses, and hamstring curls that can securely hook the bands without damaging them? I’m also open to purchasing resistance band hook-on accessories.
Resistance bands are fantastic! Most people prefer loop bands without handles.
You’ll just need a door anchor and regular work gloves. Ensure that any surface the band touches is smooth and free of sharp edges to avoid damaging or cutting the band; covering the surface with a thick cloth can help.
While some use foot plates and bars, they’re not essential. They’re expensive and don’t offer more resistance; they just make the workout experience more like using weights but compromise portability and the ease of changing resistance.
I use PowerBands with the Weller Band app for my workouts.
Any experience with james grage undersun resistance bands?
I’ve used them in the past, and they’re excellent. PowerBands have a similar texture and elasticity, plus they’re made with 15 layers, unlike Undersun bands, which are not layered. Layered bands are composed of multiple layers, making them less likely to snap. High-quality bands are layered, while cheaper ones are usually molded or have only 2-3 layers at most.
