Hello everyone. I have no experience with treadmills, but I’m searching for one that will allow me to walk and run every day for less than $1500. A tablet holder would be a huge benefit, and it must feature a number pad adjustment for a smooth speed change between walking and running.
I’m grateful.
I bought a used one off an older couple from either Craigslist or Facebook marketplace. It was an old Nordic Track from maybe 2009. Works great and you can’t beat the price. I’d check around, people are always trying to get rid exercise equipment.
Ask to speak with the person who is knowledgeable about machine maintenance when you call a physical therapy office. Ask them to recommend a particular brand and model as well as the usual time between repairs. Look for that precise brand and model on Facebook Marketplace or CL. There are consumer and commercial versions of Nordic Track and other well-known brands. On the advice of those who must fix them, purchase a used commercial version, and you will ultimately save money during the machine’s lifetime.
The Xiaomi Walkingpad R1 was my selection. It includes a tablet holder, folds up, is incredibly thin, and can travel up to 10 km/h. I’m not sure if there’s a more recent model out there. Completely recommended for easy at-home training.
It features a remote control that lets you change your speed. Additionally, you may use the tablet’s app to adjust the speed.
