I have a few machines that I have no clue how to operate!

Hey! About ten years ago, I was using my home gym almost every day without any planning or structure, just targeting the same areas without taking rest days for months. I want to start again with a more organized approach, but I really don’t know what equipment I have or how to get started.

I’ve put together an album of my gear; sorry for the mess—it hasn’t been used in a while: Imgur: The magic of the Internet. (The weights on the machines don’t have any labels, so I’m unsure of their weight.) I also have an exercise bike and a pull-up bar that aren’t shown.

I would appreciate any advice! My main goal is to build strength and definition; I’m not looking to get overly muscular or ripped.

I can’t assist with the machines. You need multiple machines to target all muscle groups, and usually, each machine focuses on just one muscle.

I only have five resistance bands that cost $70, and they feel like having a complete gym. They’re just as effective as weights but at a much lower price.

You might consider selling all that equipment and investing in a couple of kettlebells. It would be a better choice for you.

Yes, it is! Thank you! I’m not sure why I didn’t think to look for the manual—great idea!
