Hey fitness friends! I’m a 43-year-old guy looking to improve my knee and heart health with regular indoor cycling this winter. I’ll be riding 3 times a week for 15-20 minutes each session, but I’m stuck choosing between an air bike and a spinning bike. I’ve heard both have their pros, so I’d love to hear from those with experience.
Which type of bike (air or spin) would you suggest for someone focusing on knee and heart health?
Any specific brands or models you’ve had success with or would recommend?
Also, what features should I look for to enhance my workout and comfort?
I’d really appreciate your insights and recommendations. Thanks so much!
It really depends on your goals. I wouldn’t buy an air bike without trying it first, though. They don’t offer as many adjustments as a spin bike, which might irritate your knee. You could test one out at a fitness equipment store or get a day pass to a gym that has one.
You’ll need additional sensors if you want to sync with multiple devices. I use the built-in sensors for the Peloton app, and two extra ones synced to my Garmin watch.
