What Is the Best exercise to tone & flatten tummy after c-section please?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on the best exercises to tone and flatten my tummy after a c-section. I have an overhang where my scar is, and I’d really like to work on that area.

I know it’s a gradual process, but I want to make sure I’m doing exercises that are safe for recovery and actually target the muscles I need to strengthen. If anyone has tips or routines that worked for them, I’d love to hear about it.

If it’s excess fat buildup, you can’t spot reduce fat, so no specific exercise will solve it. If it’s inflammation or distention purely from the surgery, yoga and core exercises such as leg raises and basic crunches, as well as vacuums, will pull the muscles tighter.

Any type of crunch, leg raises, and a lean diet—low carbs, low veggie fats, high animal protein and fats.

And don’t forget to do your stretches and massage the tissue around the scar. Plus any type of skincare.

Thank you, I’m using bio oil on my scar.

You got it, girl!

You can try this: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Take a deep breath in and as you exhale, gently draw your belly button inward toward your spine. Imagine pulling your lower abdominal muscles upward. Hold this contraction for 5-10 seconds while maintaining normal breathing. Release the contraction and repeat for a total of 10 repetitions.

However, it’s important to note that after a C-section, it’s crucial to consult with your healthcare provider or a qualified postnatal fitness professional before starting any exercise program.
