Searching for a coach!

I’m 7 weeks postpartum and have lost the 30 pounds I gained during pregnancy, but I’m still 75 pounds above my goal weight and about 100 pounds over the recommended weight for my height. I use MyFitnessPal and Apple Fitness+ app, but I need a coach to help me set goals, select workouts from the app, and track my progress weekly. If there are any licensed coaches interested in working with me, please reach out so we can discuss further. I understand the value of your time and am prepared to compensate you.

If you’re 7 weeks postpartum, have you consulted with your healthcare provider first? This is particularly important if you’re breastfeeding, as a standard fitness coach might not have the specialized knowledge needed for postpartum and breastfeeding issues.

I’m not a licensed coach, but I do hold a Level 2 certification in fitness and nutrition. There’s a lot of additional information required for pregnancy, breastfeeding, and postpartum care that’s not covered in typical qualifications and requires extra training. So, it’s crucial to seek someone with specific expertise in these areas because it can significantly impact your body (I’ve been through it, so I understand).

This doesn’t mean you can’t achieve your goals or that there isn’t help available—Britany Williams, for example, is currently pregnant and adjusting her workouts accordingly, which might be worth looking into. It just means you need to be extra cautious right now.

Hi, I’m not a licensed personal trainer, but I have experience in fitness. While this isn’t medical advice, I can offer a simple and cost-effective weight loss strategy. To lose weight, you need to: 1. Decrease your calorie intake through your diet, and 2. Increase your calorie burn through physical activity.

Here’s a straightforward plan:

  • Eat fewer calories than your maintenance level.
  • Avoid processed foods.
  • Limit unprocessed carbs to 50g per day.
  • Focus on consuming animal proteins and fats (good fats don’t necessarily lead to weight gain).
  • Avoid vegetable oils.
  • Follow intermittent fasting for at least 18 hours a day.

For exercise:

  • Walk for 30-60 minutes each day while listening to a podcast to make the time feel more valuable.
  • Get some power bands and use a 3-day-per-week workout plan on the Weller Band app to stay consistent. The app will send reminders to help you keep up.

Following this plan could help you lose 75 pounds in approximately 6 months and will cost around $80.

You might want to try the app LADDER. I use it, and it offers both gym/barbell workouts and dumbbell workout plans. It’s a bit pricey ($30 per month or about $45 for individual coaching), but I’ve found it excellent for tracking progress, and it provides 6 workouts per week.

Good luck with your goals! :four_leaf_clover:

Sorry, realizing now you want a coach for that specific app. Apologies!
