Looking for the best adjustable dumbbells for my home gym, what do you recommend?

I want to set up a home gym and I need your help finding the best adjustable dumbbells. I’ve looked at a few options but there are so many choices out there. I’d love to hear from anyone who has used them!

I’ve discovered brands like Powerblocks, Bowflex, and Corefitness.

My budget is flexible so I’m open to any suggestions. What would you all recommend?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried Nuobell?

I second the Nuobells. They’re great.

Are they any good?

I’ve been really happy with my Powerblocks. Over about 5 years, I’ve had two individual weights break. One was because I wasn’t careful and hit them against each other, and the other broke after dropping it on concrete.

Replacing them was pretty quick and easy, and it cost me about $40-$50 each time. I had a replacement at my door in just a couple of days.

@Shannon
Powerblocks are definitely the way to go.

@Shannon
Oh nice! One of mine broke and I had no idea replacements were available.

Don’t throw it away!

Just take a clear photo of the broken part. They will ask for that to help with the cheaper replacement. Otherwise, it might get complicated and cost more.

@Shannon
Thanks! I’m glad I didn’t get rid of it.

Sorry, I was actually in the middle of my workout when I replied. For more info, just visit their website and look under support or customer service to get help. Send in the photo, give them your credit card info and address, and you’ll be all set.

@Shannon
Does age matter? Mine is probably 5 years old.

I don’t think so. They never asked me anything like that. I didn’t even buy mine from the official company; I got them secondhand on Facebook Marketplace at the start of the pandemic, no receipt or anything.

@Shannon
Thanks, I didn’t know that!

I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about Powerblocks.

I just ordered the Eisenlink dumbbells but haven’t received them yet. I was thinking about those or one of the Powerblock sets, but the Eisenlinks seem more compact and easier to upgrade.

They’re easy to handle, I have the Eisenlink dumbbells, and they are excellent, damage-proof too. They come in 20kg and 36kg sets. There’s nothing to break if you drop them, plus they won’t roll away!
£129 for the 20kg set in the UK if that helps.

@Fielder
Thanks for sharing this info!

Alright, I’ll look into those.

I’m very satisfied with my Bowflex that is about 6-7 years old.
They are a little long, which can be awkward for my girlfriend.

Which model do you have? The Selectech 552?
