Hello! I’ve been using kettlebells since the pandemic started and really enjoy it. My main struggle is maintaining overall consistency with life’s demands. I prefer full-body workouts that can be done in 30-40 minutes, including stretching (being in my mid-50s, I really need to stretch!).
I’ve tried various programs and 30-day challenges, but I always come back to this beginner routine because it’s straightforward, easy to follow, and simple:
- Halos - x8 (each side)
- Goblet Squats - x10
- Overhead Press - x10 (each side)
- Kettlebell Swing - x15
- Bent-Over Row - x8 (each side)
- Front Rack Reverse Lunge - x6 (each side)
That said, I’m looking for some variety but still want to keep it full-body. Any suggestions for changes or new exercises?
Also, I tried a density workout recently: 10 kettlebell swings, 10 push-ups, then 10 swings, 9 push-ups, and so on down to 10 swings, 1 push-up. It was fun but tough. I tweaked my lower back at the end though, which wasn’t great.
I’d appreciate any suggestions for modifying an old favorite workout. Thanks for considering!
