Is there any justification for not using deadlift plates everywhere?

as stated. Even though the rubberized deadlift plates are more costly, I am still ordering them because I want to be able to deadlift when I set up a home gym. To the best of my knowledge, there is no justification for purchasing any metal plates in that situation. I can simply place the bar on my rack and bench or squat it; 45 pounds is 45 pounds. What am I missing?

The only possible problem I could think of was that the thicker deadlift plates would “limit” the maximum weight I could put on the bar. The quotations are because I will never lift enough weight for that to be an issue.
