Thanks! I’m thinking about sharing my face routine soon.
Your plan for 12 weeks sounds really solid. You’re on track for about a pound a week if the first three weeks are anything to go by. Looks like you’re around 8-9 pounds from where you want to be. Even if your progress slows, losing around 6 pounds would still show noticeable changes. You might hit that maintenance point and then focus on adding muscle. Good luck!

Thanks for the insight! I’m aiming to lower my body fat and then gradually increase my calories to build muscle.

I’m on a similar path. I’m a 44-year-old male at 190 pounds and 6’1. I want to drop down to 180 pounds. I run about 15-17 miles a week and lift weights 4-5 days. I’m currently on a 2280 calorie diet while my TDEE is around 2800+. I hope to be at my goal by April. When I reach about 183/184 pounds, I might increase my calories by 200 and slow my weight loss. I’m looking forward to seeing if eating at maintenance helps my lifting. In the past, cutting weight at 1600-1800 calories was too difficult for me. This feels nice, eating more and not being very hungry.
@Nash
Great job! Let’s check in again in April! I believe in taking things slow and steady; I can’t stand that starving feeling. I’m also trying out Phoenix by Legion—non-stim version. It seems to help with cravings.

Nice work fitting in some running with your lifting! As a fellow runner, I find it really good for my mental health too. I wish people wouldn’t criticize it so much!

I’ve been working out for about four years now. I started with videos from Fitness Blender and Caroline Girvan, then last May I hired an online coach for six months. That’s when I began following a structured program, three days a week. After that, I kept up with the structure.
Currently, I’m using Hourglass 2.0 by Jessica Bickling. It’s a 4-day split and her PDFs are around $30.
It took a while to get things right. Working with a coach was a turning point for me. I learned a lot. The key is to stick to the same routine for 8-12 weeks and gradually increase weights, reps, or improve your form each week. Just keep going. Hope this info helps!
Great! Keep going strong.

I’m really happy to hear that! You’re very inspiring.
I’m a male in my mid-30s and I have a lot of weight to lose. I used to be much fitter.
